Every October, thousands of Scouts and Guides around the world take part in Jamboree on the Air (JOTA), the world's largest Scouting communications event.

At the 2026 Boree Regatta, the St George Amateur Radio Society (SGARS) will once again provide an amateur radio station where young people can talk with other Scouts and Guides across Australia—and often around the world. Whether you've never used a radio before or you're an experienced amateur radio operator, everyone is welcome to join the adventure.

Whether you are a scout, guide, leader, amateur radio operator or parent, the JOTA Menu and short cuts will guide you to information on the various JOTA activities at the Boree Regatta, and how you can become involved. Operating another JOTA radio base somewhere in Australia, New Zealand or somewhere else, the Boree JOTA team would like to hear from you.
