SGARS will be holding a Radio Orienteering "fox hunting" event of the weekend, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th April 2025, in Lidsdale State Forest near Wallerawang about 2.5 hours west of Sydney. Radio operators would arrive on Saturday morning, to be meet by members of the Land Rover Owners Club, who will transfer you to Cox's River campsite for a day of radio direction finding in the forest.
At the end of Saturday, you have the option to return home, or camp out for restful night's sleep ready for more fox hunting on Sunday morning. After lunch, return home after enjoying a radio activity with a difference.
The rules will be formulated to accommodate fox hunters with skill levels from beginners upwards. More information about this activity will me available at our next gathering, Wednesday 5th March 2025.
