The first gathering of The St George Amateur radio Society for 2025, will be held on the first Wednesday of February, at the Mortdale RSL Club.
Roger Harrision, VK2ZRH will be presenting on “Solar Cycle 25 and Factors Influencing F-layer Propagation up to at 50 MHz”.
Roger Harrison VK2ZRH will be covering the present state of Solar Cycle 25 and the sort of things that influence help or hinder propagation on the DX bands up to six metres. From an early career working at Australia's space weather agency, Roger has maintained a strong interest in radio propagation and the Sun and is able to provide an informative viewpoint on what's happening, that will be of keen interest to both DX hounds and casual operators alike.
Members and guests are invited to a friendly gathering in the bistro, at 6.30 pm on the first floor of the Mortdale RSL Club. Drinks and a meal can be purchased from the bistro and bar.
Following from about 7.30 pm in one of the rooms adjoining the bistro, The St George Amateur Radio Society Inc will be holding the gathering and presentation.
