Following is information on how to make payments to The St George Amateur Radio Society for membership, amateur radio operator qualification training, purchase of disposal items, and anything else for which payment maybe required.
- New members to The St George Amateur Radio Society, payment of membership fee is requested within one month of notification by the secretary that your application for membership, has been approved. Please refer to "SGARS Membership Application" for further details.
- Existing members - renewal of membership to The St George Amateur Radio Society becomes due by the 1st December, which is the beginning of the society's financial year. Please refer to "Renew your SGARS Membership" for further details.
- Training - SGARS charges an administration fee to cover cost incurred by the society, associated the provision of training and / or handbooks. If your position at a training session has been confirmed, the SGARS Education Officer will advise you of the amount to be paid. Generally, this amount is non-refundable in the event that you do not attend the training session.
- Assessment - Payments related to amateur radio assessments, such as application fee for amateur radio qualification recognition certificate and call sign selection, must be made directly to Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA). SGARS or qualified assessors DO NOT accept payment for assessments.
- Disposal Items - From time-to-time SGARS will offer members an opportunity to purchase items, usually pre-loved radio equipment or electronic items. The SGARS Disposal Officer will advise you of the amount to be paid
Payments to The St George Amateur Radio Society can be made either,
- in person to the treasurer, at our monthly gatherings, usually held on the first Wednesday of the month. CASH only accepted (sorry no Debit or Credit Card payments accepted), or,
- by direct deposit (EFT) into our bank account. Details are in the following image.
