Foundation Training and Assessment

New to amateur radio, for most your pathway into amateur radio begins with the Foundation Qualification. [If you already have an Australian amateur radio qualification, please refer to the Standard / Advanced Upgrade session]

On Saturday, our education team will review the requirements including basic radio theory, operating procedures, safety, regulations and practical operation of amateur radio. Candidates should undertake some self study prior to attending. On Sunday, candidates will complete the foundation level theory and regulations examination and practical assessment, with ACMA accredited assessors.
