Long Walk to a Quiet HF Operating Location by Peter VK2EMU

A presentation by Peter O'Connell VK2EMU about how a chance remark about wanting to get away to a quiet location for some portal HF operating resulted in the twin adventures of walking the Great North Walk from Sydney to Newcastle and the Hume and Hovell Walking Track from Yass to Albury, a combined total of over 600km.
Peter did some of the walks solo, but others with a variety of walking companions. Hear about working some DX, messages to home and when a 2 metre handheld saved the day. Encounters with a variety of animals and other walkers.
