John Moyle Memorial Field Day 2020
Aim Of The Contest
The aim is to encourage and provide familiarisation with portable and field operation, and provide training for emergency situations. The rules are therefore specifically designed and focussed to encourage field operations.
The St George Amateur Radio Society contest team was to be operating the club station VK2LE, for the duration of the John Moyle Memorial Field Day, over the weekend Saturday 21st to Sunday 22nd March 2020.
However due to the impact of the COVID19 virus, the contest team has decided not to operate a multi operator station as originally planned.
However this doesn’t mean that the contest itself is cancelled. You can still operate alone. Operate from home or go to some isolated location and operate under your own call sign. Some members have already indicated that they will do this and they’d love to hear you on air and work you.
