The society's next gathering will be on this coming Wednesday the 2nd of November in the usual venue at Kyle Bay.
As well as catching up with the general happenings of the society, there will be a presentation by Roland Riede VK2YAD on high speed packet radio. Back in the 1980's, packet radio ran at 1200 Baud. If you were really adventurous you could even do 2400 Baud. In the 21st century, things have got a lot faster. Roland will show some of the latest advances and speeds that will knock your socks off!
As well as hearing Roland’s presentation, you can catch up with fellow amateur radio operators, check out the disposal items for a bargain and enjoy tea, coffee, biscuits and cake.
The gathering will be "in person" on this coming Wednesday the 2nd of November at the Society’s meeting rooms, Donnelly Park, Kyle Parade Connells Point – near South Hurstville. Doors open at 7:15pm for a 7:30pm start. All members and visitors will need to sign-in.
