The succesful SGARS 80 Metre Contest returns again this year.

Contesting is an excellent way for new amateur radio operators or those returning to the hobby, to gain some operating experiencing without the fear finding something to talk about. In a contest, contacts between stations are very structured with exchange of callsign, signal reports and usually a serial number.

On Saturday 30th July 2016, the contest is open to all SGARS members from 18:00 to 00:00 midnight local time, using SSB, CW and digital modes. The contest is open to all license holders and distance points apply. Special category for Foundation Licence holders.
